NAD+

Premium NAD+ for cellular energy research

NAD+ Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide a critical coenzyme in cellular energy production and sirtuin activation research.

NAD+

Research overview

NAD+ is a small molecule your body makes and uses in every cell. It helps turn food into energy, and it's needed by several families of enzymes including one called "sirtuins" that's been tied to aging research. Your cells store a lot of it — most of it sits in the mitochondria (the cell's power plants). Your body makes new NAD+ two ways: from the amino acid tryptophan (found in food), and by recycling it. The recycling path uses NMN and NR as stepping stones back to NAD+. Older people and stressed tissues have less NAD+ than younger, healthier ones — that's a well-documented finding and is the whole reason anyone started selling "NAD+ boosters." When people talk about "taking NAD+," they might mean three totally different things: IV NAD+ (injected at clinics — not FDA approved), oral NR (a legal supplement with the best human research), and oral NMN (banned as a supplement by FDA in October 2022).

Form:Lyophilized research material
Testing:Third-party tested
Documentation:COA available
02.

Handling

Keep lyophilized material sealed, protected from light, and handled with standard laboratory controls. Follow your internal SOPs for storage, reconstitution, labeling and disposal.

03.

Regulation

No FDA-approved NAD+ drug product exists for any indication. Intravenous NAD+ is compounded under Section 503A and is not FDA-approved. Nicotinamide riboside is sold as a dietary supplement; nicotinamide mononucleotide was removed from the dietary-supplement market on October 11, 2022, and that exclusion is unchanged as of April 2026.

Molecules

NAD+, also indexed as oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a dinucleotide coenzyme made from adenine and nicotinamide nucleotide units joined by pyrophosphate. Reference records identify it as C21H27N7O14P2 with molecular weight 663.43 g/mol, CAS 53-84-9, and PubChem CID 5893.
